It’s been a huge year for independent superstar LAUV. He has released a string of chart-dominating hits, has almost completely sold out his upcoming Australian tour and, now, he’s officially announced his debut album.
How I’m Feeling will be available in March next year, and will feature a colossal 21 tracks. One of those tracks is the single he has just dropped today, ‘Sims’.
Of the album, LAUV says that it represents all the wildly different sectors of his personality, and of everyone’s personality.
“I’ve been working on this album for a long time, but today marks the true beginning of the new era,” he said in a statement.
“How I’m Feeling is about embracing personality and all its different aspects. I created 6 different characters represented by purple (existential Lauv), blue (hopeless romantic Lauv), green (goofy Lauv), yellow (positive Lauv), orange (fuckboy Lauv) and red (spicy Lauv™️), all of which make up my identity. While my last project was focused on one aspect of my life, How I’m Feeling is the first time I’m embracing all the parts that make me who I am.”
He also spoke about ‘Sims’ and how the yet-to-be-released video sees these characters come to life.
“The ‘Sims’ music video, coming soon, brings the album concept and characters to life for the first time. I’m more proud of this project than anything I’ve done in the past. For the first time, I’m fully me.”
