Watch Danny Brown, Mac DeMarco Parody Celebrity ‘Imagine’ Singalong With Blink-182’s ‘I Miss You’

As you may have seen, last week actress Gal Gadot assembled a crew of insanely wealthy celebrities like Will Ferrell and Natalie Portman to sing along to John Lennon’s hit ‘Imagine’ together in a video, each taking a turn at singing a line.

While Gadot and friends presumably had the best intentions in lifting spirits with the video, it’s pretty cringe-inducing. Upon its release, it got skewered online by folks online, united in their derision of a horde of gazillionaires singing a wishy-washy song into a camera, while people around the world scramble to figure out how they’re survive over the next few months.

Anyway, there’s been a number of parodies since the original clip went viral, and now, Dr. Dog drummer and solo artist Eric Slick gathered some familiar faces from the indie rock world to put together another video shot in the same style. Rather than cover ‘Imagine’, though, they gave their spin on Blink-182’s ‘I Miss You’.

The parody includes the likes of Danny Brown, Mac DeMarco, Kevin Morby, Natalie Prass, Whitney, Robin Pecknold of Fleet Foxes and others singing Tom DeLonge’s verse and chorus from the iconic 2003 Blink ballad.

“I am about to drop an extremely dumb video. Apologies in advance,” Slick wrote before sharing the rendition.
