Deftones Release ‘White Pony’ Beer In Celebration Of Album’s 20th Anniversary

Deftones are celebrating 20 years of their third studio album, White Pony with the release of a new White Pony beer. The White Pony beer is an IPA, courtesy of Belching Beaver Brewery.

The alt metal act have been celebrating the anniversary in other ways too. They launched a limited edition merch capsule and they revealed they’ll be reissuing the album with a bonus disc of remixes they’re calling Black Stallion.

The White Pony beer continues the celebration. They’re dropping the double dry, hopped IPA in collaboration with San Diego brewery, Belching Beaver.

The beer’s description sounds so special too. “White Pony is loaded with intense pineapple aroma, lemon peel, and grapefruit notes. There is an upfront flavour of pineapple but finishes with a soft grapefruit note with a mild bitterness and medium mouthfeel. It has a beautiful amount of layered hop flavours and aromas.”

On the beer Deftones frontman, Chino Moreno reckons, “Our approach to beer is similar to how we approach our music, it’s constantly changing and evolving to help ensure we’re releasing a quality product that we stand behind.

“With our wonderful partners at Belching Beaver, we’re proud to have collaborated on yet another beer that has been created with care and released with pride.”

White Pony is available today, but only in select US states.

That’s not all Deftones have been up to. They recently released a new single ‘Ohms. You can catch all the deets on it here.

The new Deftones single is the first taster and the title track from their forthcoming album Ohms.

Ohms is due out Friday, 25th September. Listen to the track below.
