Meredith Music Festival has announced its return to the Supernatural Amphitheatre (also known simply as “the Sup”) for its 32nd iteration. It will take place across the first weekend of December 2024, and features a line-up festival organisers have described as “a soaring assortment of sonic adventurers and aural conspirators”. The full line-up, and ballot details, can be found below.
Headlining the festival is UK producer Jamie xx of The xx, who returns to Australia almost exactly two years after his headlining performance at the 2022/23 Falls Festival. He brings with him his second solo album In Waves, which arrives next month on Friday, September 20th. Waxahatchee, too, will return to Australia after a five-year absence – bringing both her full band, for the first time in nearly nine years, and her recently-released sixth studio album Tigers Blood.

Joining them on the line-up are Australian acts such as Genesis Owusu, Angie McMahon and Glass Beams, as well as American singer-songwriter Mk.gee – who had already announced an Australian tour for December earlier this year. Other notable acts include 70s funk band Zapp, American punk band Mannequin Pussy and, surprisingly, ‘You Make Me Feel Like Dancing’ singer Leo Sayer.
Meredith returned in December 2022, following COVID-related cancellations in both 2020 and 2021. The line-up that year featured the likes of Caribou, Yothu Yindi, Dry Cleaning and Courtney Barnett on the bill. Its 2023 follow-up, meanwhile, featured sets from Caroline Polacheck, Kraftwerk, Alex G, Alvvays and Flowdan.
