Froth & Fury Fest 2027 Drops Huge First Lineup

Adelaide’s Froth & Fury Festival is already shaping up to be one of Australia’s biggest heavy music weekends of 2027, unveiling a stacked first lineup announcement while doubling down on its commitment to supporting the next generation of local artists.

Returning to the Adelaide Showground on Saturday, 30th January, the boutique festival has locked in an impressive mix of international heavyweights and Aussie faves for its first artist drop – and there are still two more lineup announcements to come.

Leading the charge are US groove-rock icons Clutch, who’ll make their long-awaited return to Adelaide for the first time since Soundwave 2014. They’ll be joined by an eclectic cast that spans deathcore, hardcore, thrash, industrial, punk and darksynth, including Aussie metalcore stars Alpha Wolf, Swiss deathcore wrecking ball Paleface Swiss, Canadian punk legends Propagandhi, French experimental mastermind Igorrr, theatrical synthwave pioneer Carpenter Brut, and American sludge-metal veterans Corrosion Of Conformity.

Death metal fans can also look forward to Death To All celebrating the music of the late Chuck Schuldiner, while thrash legends Dark Angel, Australian punk veterans 28 Days, and Colorado hardcore outfit Fox Lake add even more firepower to an already loaded bill.

The local contingent is equally strong, with Truth Corroded returning for their first performance in seven years alongside The Berzerker, Wayside, Ratsalad and Raccoon City.

But it’s not just the lineup that’s expanding in 2027.

The fest has also announced two new initiatives aimed at strengthening South Australia’s heavy music community.

New Breed will give aspiring musicians aged 10-18 the chance to compete for cash prizes and professional development opportunities, while Path To Fury will offer emerging South Australian bands a shot at earning opening slots on the festival through a dedicated battle of the bands comp.

Applications for both programs are expected to open this August.

Beyond the music, punters can once again expect the usual blend of tattoo artists, market stalls, food trucks and plenty of festival-side entertainment throughout the day.

With two lineup announcements still to come, Froth & Fury 2027 is already shaping up to be one of next summer’s essential dates for Australian heavy music fans.
