Champions of the post-hardcore movement Sleeping With Sirens are back at it, releasing some new material from the camp today, a cruisey little jam known as Alone. The track features the beloved pipes of Kellin Quinn with a cheeky guest appearance from rapper Machine Gun Kelly, of all people.
Our past experiences with the band, namely 2011’s Let’s Cheers to This have proven the 5-piece is capable of going pretty damn hard, but Alone is a much more minimal take on their sound. Featuring almost rap like lyrics from Quinn, who’s voice is as close to perfection as possible, Alone is a lyrically driven song suggesting the band’s forthcoming album Feel could be pretty diverse.
Lending credit to this theory is the previously released track off the album, Low, a deceptively cheery ditty, bringing a solid amount of boppy, guitar laden rhythm to the record.
The band gave fans the heads up at the start of this year that they had begun chipping away at Feel, suggesting back then that the record would be released Mid-2013. We can give you the far more accurate release date now of Friday, 31st May.
