The New Pollution: # 035 – Cody ChesnuTT

Most of you should remember Cody’s super hit Look Good In Leather (or “Ode to Tnev” as referred to by nobody) from 2001, and perhaps more well-known re-working of The Seed which featured The Roots, but admittedly, the southern soul man has been pretty quiet since then (sparing a brief appearance in Dave Chappelle’s Block Party in 2006). Happy days are upon us though, as ChesnuTT has released his second album a decade later, and it’s super fly-funk, ya dig?

Landing on a Hundred came out at the end of last year and is a swag-entrenched nod to Curtis Mayfield and Al Green. If you appreciate anything to do with funk and soul music of the seventies, give ChesnuTT a go because you’ll feel cooler after one listen.
