12 Bands We Think Could Be On The Download Festival Australia Lineup

UPDATE: The full 2018 Download Festival Australia lineup has now been announced.

ORIGINAL STORY: It barely needs to be pointed out that we’re all crapping our dacks withe excitement for the inaugural Download Festival Australia to reveal its lineup, which FYI is tipped to happen before October is out.

But the suspense is fkn killing us, so we thought we might as well have a crack at predicting some of the big-name local and international bands who could very likely be gracing the bill for the blockbuster riff bash’s down under debut.

Ex-Soundwave boss AJ Maddah reckons Download was “talking to two amazing headliners” a few months back, and if it’s any two of the options we’ve listed below then we’ll be WELL BEYOND frothing.

In case you’re behind the eightball, Music Feeds first broke news of Download Festival’s plans for Australia last year, before touring company Live Nation purchased the Australian domain name for Download Festival.

While we continue to stock up on spare undies — which we’ll no doubt need when the full lineup finally arrives — you can check out our hot predictions below, or cop a squiz at Download’s recent UK and Spain lineups to draw your own conclusions.
