Blake Rose

Blake Rose, Sophisticated Dingo and Little Green Tell Us Their Ones to Watch

Live Nation’s Ones to Watch showcase lands in Melbourne on Thursday, 26th October. The event is headlined by Perth-born, Los Angeles-based pop artist Blake Rose, who’ll be supported by Melbourne garage rock duo Sophisticated Dingo and Blue Mountains singer-songwriter Little Green.

It’s happening at Live Nation’s offices in Melbourne and will be hosted by Tait McGregor. RSVP here. Ahead of the event, Blake Rose, Sophisticated Dingo and Little Green tell Music Feeds about their favourite local artists on the rise.

Blake Rose – ‘How Do We Stay In Love?’

Blake Rose’s Ones to Watch

Chris Lanzon – Chris Lanzon is an absolute beast. His song ‘Dark Side’ is my favourite song of the year. His music has very melancholy alternative rock-type vibes and he has the perfect aesthetic to go with it.

Supathick – Supathick are very very cool. There aren’t too many people leaning into the disco world these days but Supathick do it in such an effortless way. You can tell they’re amazing musicians and the visuals are super cool.

Genesis Owusu – Genesis Owusu is amazing. I’ve seen him live twice. Once at Falls festival where he smashed and a second time at an AWAL showcase where he stole the whole room with just himself and some tracks. His energy is ridiculous.

Inkabee – I saw a video of Inkabee the other day where Chance The Rapper was about to give himself whiplash whilst watching him perform. Chance’s reaction in that video was earned. You can see the potential oozing from the kid and I’m very excited to see where he goes.

Dulcie – Dulcie are absolute pocket rockets. I love their music so much and their energy on stage is magnetic. I pump their song ‘tell ur friends’ all the time. It’s such a banger.

Sophisticated Dingo’s Ones to Watch

The Tullamarines – Songs are too good and all members write them.

The Velvet Club – Too fun to fail. Workhorses that just keep showing up and love to party.

Blue Vedder – Too cool for me and you. Latest track ‘Leather’ is dripping in guitar bliss and only scratching the surface of how much cool those licks can ooze.

Divers – Hooks. They are admirably liberal in their releases while always maintaining an indie charm that cuts through on their singles.

Radio Free Alice – I can’t get ‘Paris is Gone’ out of my head.

Little Green’s Ones to Watch

Lola Young – Magnetic. Love her voice, attitude, lyrics, music production and her videos are sick.

Chloe Dadd – Electric energy. Favourite song: ‘Picking Flowers’.

Kee’ahn – Jaw dropping voice. Her music and presence is calming and powerful.

Lola Scott – Super cool, relatable songs. Loved her show at OAF.

Ūla – Massive pop star energy, catchy songs and sweet as honey voice.
