PREMIERE: We May Fall Drop Cinematic AF New Video For ‘Down’ Feat. Drown This City’s Alex Reade

Sydney metalcore merchants We May Fall have unleashed a dazzlingly cinematic new music video for their harrowing piece of heavy balladry ‘Down’ featuring Alex Reade from Melbourne’s Drown This City on guest vox.

Reade also appears in the ’80s-inspired neon-noir drenched music video for the track, which you can catch premiering via Music Feeds below.

Portraying the duelling voices of heartbreak against a slick night cityscape, ‘Down’ was directed and produced by a pair of local legends, Ben Kalgovas and Chris Elder.

“It’s like something is always at arm’s length, you can feel it just around the corner, behind you, but it’s not there when you turn,” explains We May Fall frontman JJ Brady of the meaning behind the piece. “It drives you crazy. It’s a constant source of frustration, of confusion. But a beautiful one.”

“I had three jobs – do the song justice, make it a homage to the ’80s cinematic and impress We May Fall,” adds Kalgovas, the clip’s director. “I knew if I did those things and generated any emotional response then I’ve done my job.”

The song has been plucked from the band’s brand new album The Light Bearer & The Shadow Maker, which sees them blaze a new sonic trail into the realm of ‘synthcore’.

We May Fall are also gearing up for an East Coast tour on the heels of the release.
