The Boo Hoo Hoo’s – living rural

The Boo Hoo Hoo’s are on tour with The Ravenous and both bands play Mum @ Worldbar this Friday so Music Feeds caught up with boys to find out what shenanigans have gone down so far.

MF: What’s been going on in The Boo Hoo Hoo’s camp recently?

BHH: The Boo Hoo Hoo’s have been working on their first release that’s due out in October. It’s come up really well and is definitely worth breaking the piggy bank open for.

MF: Describe your sound to the Music Feeds’ audience?

BHH: Sounds that will make you dance and swing and repeat.

MF: What are you guys studying at Uni?

BHH: Jordan is learning to become a primary school teacher, Sam is getting a business degree & Ben deferred because he can’t make up his damn mind.

MF: What benefits are there for young bands in competitions like Triple J Unearthed and FReeZA?

BHH: I guess the good thing about the JJJ comps and FReeZA comps is that you’re getting all kinds of different exposure. You can see where you’re really at among all the other fish in the sea and it gets you working harder to try to become the biggest!

MF: How hard is it scoring gigs living in rural Victoria?

BHH: Scoring the shows isn’t so much the problem when living rural; it’s all the junk that goes with it (travelling).

MF: You’re on tour with The Ravenous, what shenanigans have gone on so far?

BHH: We have just played the one show so far and it went swell; quite wild in fact. But Malcom of the Ravenous has been conned into wearing nothing but a leather vest and his knickers for the rest of the shows on tour. That alone would be worth coming to see.

MF: Playing MUM @ World Bar in Sydney, will this be your first trip up here?

BHH: It sure will be. Looking forward to seeing how they get down up North.

MF: Finally what would be the first track you’d put onto a mix tape?

BHH:Last Night’- The Strokes

The Boo Hoo Hoo’s play Mum @ Worldbar this Friday August 6th.
