After recently wrapping up an Australian tour in May, The Mountain Goats have returned home to put the finishing touches on their 15th studio record Transcendental Youth, due out September 28.

The Mountain Goats’ frontman John Darnielle has released a cover of Christmas classic Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas for an episode of the A.V club’s undercover, where the site has asked musicians to come in and cover various festive songs.
