If Mike Baird seriously thought that he’d successfully be able to use Vivid to distract the people of Sydney from their own growing malcontent towards the Premier and his government – he was very much mistaken.
The Facebook post in question, one where Baird seems to provokingly refer to Matt Barrie’s now infamous lockout essay titled “Would the last person in Sydney please turn the lights out?”, has predictably served only to provoke Sydneysiders further.
On Sunday, thousands turned out for the #marchagainstmike which protested various aspects of the NSW Liberal Government’s policy – taking aim at everything from council amalgamation to lockout laws, the removal of tress in Sydney’s eastern suburbs to WestConnex.
