The 16th Deni Ute Muster, set for the 2014 October long-weekend, has announced its official artist lineup. The 2014 iteration of the festival, held in Deniliquin, New South Wales, will feature some big-name country, rock and alt-rock acts.
Beginning on Friday, 3rd October, country singer-songwriter Morgan Evans, American country rock outfit Blackjack Billy, well-known Australian act The Time of My Life Band and American country rock superstar Gary Allan will grace the festival stage.
The very next day the festival will host a slightly more eclectic bunch of musicians. Brisbane indie-rock outfit Sheppard will open the Deni Ute Muster’s second day of music. They’ll be followed by Australian rock royalty in the hard-hitting Spiderbait, American country/garage band The Mavericks and one of Australia’s most influential rock’n’roll singers, Jimmy Barnes.
Kate Pitt, General Manager of the Deni Ute Muster, said, “It’s just an amazing line-up of Aussie and international acts on both Friday and Saturday nights. Each year we’re able to raise the bar and this year, with such a depth of talent, we’ve been able to do it again.
“I’m confident we can break last year’s crowd record, as well as setting new world records for the largest parade of utes and largest gathering in blue singlets.”
The Deni Ute Muster, which was awarded a Guinness World Record in 1999 for the most legally paraded utes in one place, is now a powerful draw-card for tourists and Aussies alike. Full festival details are available below.
