Afroman Sentenced To Anger Management For Punching A Twerking Fan

Afroman, the dude responsible for the dumbest CD single you ever purchased from Sanity, Because I Got High, has been ordered to attend anger management sessions after he punched a female fan live onstage.

As NME reports, the self-professed dank broccoli toker was arrested for assault earlier this year, after lashing out at a woman who jumped the stage and began twerking during a free Mardi Gras concert he was performing in Mississippi.

Afroman was soulfully noodling upon his guitar when she approached him from behind and began backing up all on dat, at which point he turned around and punched her square in the face.

The whole thing is actually pretty hectic, take a look:

Afroman pleaded guilty to assaulting the woman, despite arguing that he mistakenly believed she was actually a man who’d been heckling him repeatedly throughout the performance.

As punishment, the singer has been slapped with a suspended six-month jail sentence, ordered to attend anger management and impulse behaviour counselling sessions, and fined US$330.

The whole thing follows the release of the “positive remix” of his 2000 weed-based hit Because I Got High in support of legalising marijuana.
