Returning in February 2015 after a successful inaugural event this year, the Mountain Sounds Festival lineup has just grown even bigger with the announcement that Alison Wonderland will headline the 2015 event, with a stack of new acts also being added to the bill.
Having sold out two national tours this year thanks to her debut EP Calm Down, the Australian DJ and producer looks to continue that successful run into the new year when she headlines the festival whose lineup already includes DZ Deathrays, The Jungle Giants, The Kite String Tangle, Northeast Party House, Safia and The Griswolds.
Also joining the Mountain Sounds family will be folk act Winterbourne, dance outfit Odd Mob, Central Coast indie rockers Little Earthquake and producer Acaddamy. Excitingly, one final festival guest will be announced in January.
Mountain Sounds have also announced the addition of the Jungle Stage, presented by Sydney’s Jungle Studios, where acts like PH Fat, AViVAA, Owen Rabbit, Colour Cage, Rookie, Via Alchemy, East of Here and more will take the stage.
Mountain Sounds is also running a state-wide competition to give one band and one electronic act the chance to open the festival’s main stage in 2015. For details on public voting head to the Mountain Sounds Festival competition site.
The environmentally sustainable event will again be held in Mount Penang Parklands in Kariong, NSW. Additional festival features include options for camping on both nights, with campsite parties, silent discos and more. Early bird tickets have already sold out with first release tickets on sale now.
