Before they can Release The Bats, organisers behind the ATP festival must first release the timetables. Today, organisers have delivered the schedule for the multi-venue event, which also doubles as a blueprint for a straight-up good time, natch.
Things will be running a little bit differently at each of the two new venues in St Kilda. Labeled as Stage One, The Palais Theatre will be opening its doors at 12:45pm, giving punters a good amount of time to get settled before The UV Race kick things off at 1:30pm. Television will be performing Marquee Moon right in time for dinner, with The Breeders capping off the stage with a set that wraps up at 10:45pm.
Stage Two, otherwise known as the Prince Bandroom, will be open for ticketholders from 12:00pm sharp with White Walls initiating the party at 12:45pm. The good times will be rolling until stoner metallers Sleep bring the show to a stop at 10pm.
Also of interest is the inclusion of a “secret band” on the lineup, which is presumably to fill the gap left after The Jesus Lizard pulled out of the festival last month due to “unforeseen circumstances”. You can find out who that is on Stage Two at 2:45pm.
Ticketholders are being advised that while Stage One is large enough to hold everyone Stage Two won’t be, so be sure to arrive early to get a good spot for any set you’d like to watch there. Attendees are also being informed that costumes and getting totally immersed in the event is 100% encouraged.
Oh, yeah – and if you’re not a ticketholder by now you won’t be, as the show is totally sold out.
