Austrian Death Machine Release Single While Lambesis Awaits Sentencing

Less than a week after Tim Lambesis pleaded guilty to murder-for-hire charges, his side project, the Arnold Schwarzenegger parody/tribute band Austrian Death Machine, has released a new single, Prepare To Be Conquered, along with the news that their fan-funded record Triple Brutal will drop this April.

Midway through last year, the other band members confirmed they were pushing ahead with the album, despite the fact that their singer has just been arrested. “Tim finished all of his parts back before he went on tour in Asia. He was just waiting for me to do my parts and put together the finishing touches on the mix of the album,” read a post on the band’s Facebook page.

Lambeis was arrested last May after he allegedly approached a trainer from his gym asking if he knew anyone who could kill his wife, who had filed for divorce in late 2012. Just a few days ago, the frontman, who also helms metal band As I Lay Dying, pleaded guilty to solicitation of murder and is facing up to nine years in prison.

While he is currently out on $3 million bail, sentencing is scheduled for 2nd May, meaning Lambesis will in all likelihood be behind bars at the time Triple Brutal is released to the public. The Schwarzenegger-inspired band’s new album was funded via an Indiegogo campaign which allowed fans to donate their cash – perhaps one of the main reasons why the release has to go ahead.

Today, a new song and lyric video titled Prepare To Be Conquered has been released. Check out the riff-heavy, scream-heavy track below. Triple Brutal is available now for pre-order.
