Baker Boy, Archie Roach, Yothu Yindi & The Treaty and more lead Boomerang Festival‘s stellar 2019 lineup, serving as a mini festival inside of this year’s Bluesfest.
Boomerang Festival returns in 2019 as a special arts & culture celebration on Bundjalung country, and is entirely managed and programmed from a First Nations’ perspective.
Other notable acts on the lineup include Mojo Juju, Benny Walker, Dallas Woods, DOBBY and many more.
Bluesfest festival director, Peter Noble OAM spoke about how important Boomerang festival is to Bluesfest as a whole.
“Our Indigenous festival within a festival, at Bluesfest, is one of our highlights,” he said in a statement. “It is a musical and sensory delight. We have the best artists and dancers from Australia and surrounding regions. The dance troupes are thrilling and to have a musical showcase presenting the Young Australian of the Year; the incredible Baker Boy, the legendary Archie Roach, Yothu Yindi & the Treaty Project, Mojo Juju, the Mission Songs, Benny Walker and much much more – this is a dream bill for us!”
