Beloved animated series The Simpsons has just made history with its first-ever hourlong episode, and it was packed to the brim with cameos from some of the world’s biggest music stars, including Beyoncé, Snoop Dogg, RZA and Common.
Last night’s episode, which was titled ‘The Great Phatsby’, honoured F. Scott Fitzgerald’s ‘The Great Gatsby’ (and Baz Luhrmann’s film adaptation) with a roster of hip hop icons, who have now joined the likes of previously-Simpsonised rappers like Cypress Hill and 50 Cent.
Beyoncé was briefly seen (but not heard) in the initial party scene of ‘The Great Phatsby’ in a ‘Hold Up’-style dress from Lemonade, and the episode also featured original music from Snoop, RZA and Common, who fired some diss verses at Mr. Burns’ rival in the episode, hip hop mogul Jay G.
Aside from those aforementioned A-listers, the episode also featured the likes of Flavor Flav, George Clinton, Keegan-Michael Key (who plays washed-up rapper Jazzy James) and actress/singer Taraji P. Henson.
If you live in the US, you can watch the full episode over on Hulu or FOX. If you don’t, you can watch a bunch of clips from the episode below, or find some ~other means~ of watching the full thing.
