Big Day Out 2012 Headliners – Kanye West, Soundgarden and Kasabian

The 3 headline acts for next year’s Big Day Out 2012 line-up have been announced this morning. Kanye West will be returning to our shores again for the second time in 12 months, as well as Soundgarden and English indie rock band Kasabian.

Joining them will be the other 17 bands that were drip feed to us last night, including My Chemical Romance, Röyksopp, Odd Future (OFWGKTA), Best Coast and Aussie bands such as Boy & Bear, The Living End and recently reformed band The Getaway Plan.

Kasabian were already confirmed on the line-up after Herald Sun reporter Nui Te Koha locked them in to play, as well as the band themselves confirming themselves on the line up.

Chris Cornell had hinted that Soundgarden would be in Australia “sooner rather than later” last week, after speaking to Triple M about the bands plans to visit our country again, while on his current solo tour.
