Nashville duo BOWEN * YOUNG will play a run of metro and regional Australian shows in January 2024. The duo, comprising the Australian Clare Bowen and the American Brandon Robert Young, are drumming up anticipation for their debut album, Us. The record’s lead single, ‘Water to Wine’, came out in July 2023.
The acoustic tour will begin at Geelong’s Barwon Club on Friday, 12th January. BOWEN * YOUNG will head to Melbourne, Castlemaine, Sydney, Newcastle, Tamworth, Wollongong and Brisbane over the following two weeks. Tickets go on sale Friday, 24th November via the duo’s website. Details below.
BOWEN * YOUNG – ‘Water to Wine’
Clare Bowen released her self-titled debut solo album in 2018. She had established herself as an actor prior to this, appearing on television programs in Australia and the US. Her most notable role is that of Scarlett O’Connor in the long-running musical drama Nashville.
Young was Bowen’s primary collaborator on the aforementioned solo album and has been a long-time touring partner of American singer-songwriter John Hiatt. They’ve been releasing music as BOWEN * YOUNG since 2021 and recently toured the US and UK. The latter trip included a support slot with Billy Joel at London’s Hyde Park.
BOWEN * YOUNG will be joined on the Australian tour by Timothy James Bowen and Imogen Clark.
