Chris Young Announces 2024 Australian Headline Shows

American country singer Chris Young has announced two Australian headline dates, following his announcement on the CMC Rocks QLD bill for March 2024. His ‘Young Love & Saturday Nights’ world tour will now include a show at Forum Melbourne, as well as Young’s first-ever show in Sydney at the Enmore Theatre.

Young’s upcoming Australian visit will mark only the second of his career. He was last in Australia in 2015 as part of the world tour in support of his fifth studio album, I’m Comin’ Over. Since then, Young has released a Christmas album – 2016’s It Must Be Christmas – and a further two studio albums: 2017’s Losing Sleep and 2021’s Famous Friends.

Young has released three songs in 2023: a double A-side single of ‘Looking for You’ and ‘All Dogs Go to Heaven’ in January and the tour’s namesake, ‘Young Love & Saturday Nights’, in July. The latter interpolates the guitar riff from David Bowie‘s 1974 single ‘Rebel Rebel’, with Bowie credited as a writer on the song.

Young is one of CMC Rocks’ three headlining acts, alongside Lainey Wilson and Florida Georgia Line‘s Tyler Hubbard. Joining them on the bill will be ‘Rich Men North of Richmond’ singer Oliver Anthony, Megan Moroney and Morgan Wade, along with a dozen more acts.
