Bring Me The Horizon’s Oli Sykes Reckons His Voice Is “Fully Healed” Ahead Of Their Aussie Tour

Oli Sykes has been battling some dramas with his voice of late, with Aussie fans understandably packing it after he was forced to axe a bunch of Bring Me The Horizon‘s American tour dates last month due to rupturing his right vocal cord.

“I’ve been told if I don’t rest it immediately I’m in serious danger of doing permanent damage,” Sykes tweeted at the time.

“I’ve been trying my best to fulfil our commitments as I really really hate letting you guys down, not to mention these shows have been literally the most fun ever- but at this point me singing would be the equivalent of a footballer running on a broken leg.”

Last time BMTH visited our shores in 2016, they were forced to reschedule a bunch of shows til the following year after Oli suffered a viral throat infection. So yeah, he’s had plenty of bad luck on the voice front!

But thankfully, with the band’s next Aussie tour set to hit our shores in April, Oli has now revealed that his voice has “fully healed”.

“Just been to the voice doctors my voice is fully healed woop woop see u all soon!” he tweeted this weekend.

The good news comes after Bring Me unveiled the supports for their 2019 tour, which comes off the back of their game-changing new record amo, as UK acts You Me At Six and Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes alongside Australia’s own Trophy Eyes.
