Confession Added To UNIFY Gathering 2016 Lineup

Melbourne metalcore outfit Confession have been confirmed for the UNIFY Gathering 2016 lineup, and are set to play their second last show ever as part of the festival, before breaking up.

Confession’s Saturday performance during the next year’s UNIFY Gathering will also be their final Victorian show, with the group set to disband after frontman Michael Crafter last week announced Confession are calling it a day, with the singer himself soon to become “Officially Retired”.

In a Facebook post, Crafter has said Confession are planning to announce their final tour, and will be “hopefully taking some friends along” with them. The group’s appearance at UNIFY Gathering 2016 is the first hint at when that final tour could take place.

In a statement, UNIFY Gathering says, “A lot of the staff at UNIFIED/UNIFY have known Crafter for many years, so we are stoked to see him off in this way.

“Confession has toured with many of the artists on the festival, and they’ve shared members with many of the bands on our label. Lets make this a really special send off for these guys!”

UNIFY Gathering 2016 takes place on Saturday, 16th and Sunday, 17th January 2016 in South Gippsland. Catch the full lineup below, and the festival timetable (sans Confession) right here.
