With the aim to bring fun summer energy to the masses in a COVID-safe way next month, the crews behind BIGSOUND and QMusic have revealed plans for a massive block party.
Fittingly titled the Big Summer Block Party, the completely free event is taking over Fortitude Valley streets for an ‘ultimate end-of-year party’.
Headlined by Eves Karydas, the Big Summer Block Party will a feature a whole slew of incredible artists on a bill that also includes Jesswar, Eliza & The Delusionals, Golden Vessel, Clea and more. We’re talking about 21 artists across seven stages throughout the Valley.
For the team at BIGSOUND, being able to curate something like this filled a definite void after their 2021 event had to be cancelled.
“Cancelling BIGSOUND this year was devastating for us all, so being able to curate a line-up of Queensland’s past BIGSOUND showcasing artists and those we believe are the future of BIGSOUND was a real treat.” says BIGSOUND festival co-programmer Ruby-Jean McCabe.
“It’s a celebration of the incredible talent we have in this state, and a sneak peek of what BIGSOUND 2022 could hold.”
