EXCLUSIVE: Stream Steve Balbi’s New Album ‘Black Rainbow’ In Full

Songwriter, performer, and Aussie rock legend Steve Balbi, formerly of Aus-rock icons Noiseworks, Electric Hippies, and Rose Tattoo, is gearing up to release his debut solo album, Black Rainbow this Friday, and we’ve got an exclusive premiere stream of the whole thing right here on Music Feeds.

Balbi played bass in some of Australia’s most influential rock bands and is known for his virtuosic musicianship, skilled songwriting abilities and entertaining live performances. Black Rainbow is a carefully crafted statement on a lifetime spent at forefront of Aussie rock and roll. Speaking about the album, Balbi said, “In a way what this record is doing, it’s summarising my past and bringing me right up until now, so I can move on in a forward direction.”

Carrying a handful of songs written with Balbi’s former band Move Trees and a reworking of the Noiseworks hit Touch, Balbi has described the self-produced album as bearing “an overarching sense of optimism tinged with a hint of darkness, much like my journey in life so far.”

To celebrate the new album, Balbi will be touring as special guest on Baby Animals‘ upcoming “Feed The Birds Tour.” Black Rainbow is set for release on Friday, 13th September, with Balbi hitting the road with Baby Animals in October, sweeping through Newcastle, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Geelong, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.

In the meantime, you can stream Black Rainbow in full below.
