Falls Festival 2014 Dates Announced

The organisers of Falls Festival have announced the dates and locations for their 2014-2015 event. Falls 2014-15 will once again be held in its longtime homes of Marion Bay and Lorne, and will return to Byron Bay following a successful inaugural year in the hub of Australia’s festival scene.

Falls organisers have informed punters that this year’s Falls will run with the “same days and timelines” as last year, but the event press material will not include 1st January in its dates as it is an “exit day.” Falls 2014/2015 kicks off in Lorne on Sunday, 28th December and will run till Wednesday, 31st December, with Thursday, 1st January serving as the exit day for Lorne and Marion Bay fans.

There’s no word yet on when fans can expect a lineup and organisers have not yet dropped any hints about who punters can expect. Falls sister festival, WA’s Southbound, shares most of the bands on the Falls lineup and that festival yesterday said their lineup would be coming soon, at the same time revealing an overhaul of their camping set-up for 2015.

The rumour mill was first stoked with the release of the lineup for the Secret Sounds Falls & Splendour SXSW Showcase. German duo Milky Chance also put themselves in the running last month after revealing they were eyeing January to make their Australian live debut at a festival.
