UPDATE 25/09/25: The full UNIFY Gathering lineup is here!
In Hearts Wake just become the first act to be officially confirmed for the 2016 UNIFY Gathering.
The Byron Bay lads broke the news this morning during their visit to the triple j studios, where they ripped out a stripped-back cover of Parkway Drive’s Ire single Vice Grip for Like A Version (video coming soon, watch this space!)
The entire lineup for next year’s UNIFY heavy music extravaganza is due to arrive this time next week, Friday 25th September, with organisers promising three massive international acts, alongside “the cream of the crop of Australian bands”.
An earlier statement from the kids at UNIFY reads: “We’re super proud of this lineup – 2015 was always going to be hard to top, but I think we’ve done it – and we only repeated three acts, all who had new albums out this year”.
Well now we’ve unmasked the secret identity of one of those acts – In Hearts Wake performed at last year’s sold out festival and also released their brand new secretly-Harry-Potter-themed LP Skydancer this year.
In March, UNIFY Gathering announced it has 20 spots for bands in 2016, and confirmed the festival will take place on Saturday, 16th January and Sunday, 17th January at Tarwin Meadows in South Gippsland.
Early bird tickets to the event have already completely sold out, but punters who missed out still have a few weeks to scrounge together the funds in preparation for when the general public allocation goes live on October 1st.

UPDATE 13/10/15: Melbourne metalcore outfit Confession have joined the UNIFY Gathering 2016 lineup, and are set to play their second last show ever as part of the festival, before breaking up.
