So, there you have it! The official lineup for Future Music Festival 2013. There’s a couple there that you may have seen on some rumour lists, as well as a whole heap that no one has even suggested. But the people have spoken, and the overwhelming majority seem salivating at the mouth.
In the best way possible that is. With every festival there are going to be those ones who feel as though their particular niche, no matter how obscure, was not rightfully represented, but nerts to them. Though The Prodigy headlined the festival two years ago, who cares, it’s The Prodigy! They can came come back in 2014 and still be awesome.
The Stone Roses were one of the more repeated rumours, with word spreading that they would be heading Down Under, and AJ Maddah suggesting that another festival had already booked them; a nod to the music of yesteryear many Australians thought would never happen. PSY, well, that’s just going to be an unparalleled level of awesome; have you seen that dude’s live shows? They make Mardi Gras look like a middle-school band practice.
Some acts are back to finish what they had started on our stages earlier in the year, for example Azealia Banks. Dizzee Rascal will be returning, and hopefully never leaving. There’s a whole lineup of some pure festival goodness.
With the lineup also came the venues, which you can examine over on our full lineup page. For now, though, check out what you lot had to say about it!

And I thought the Stereosonic lineup was good. Future Music Festival smashed it!

It's called future music festival, yet it's being headlined by an act who made their name in the 80s.
