Grimes Responds To Allegations She Trolled Boiler Room By Trolling Twitter

DJ/Producer sensation Grimes has responded to claims she trolled one of the most prestigious events and crowds in the EDM world. During a recent Boiler Room performance at the Ibiza residence of the legendary Richie Hawtin, Grimes busted out some ironically heinous beats, commenting earlier that she knew full well how it would go down with the audience.

It wasn’t so much the fact that Grimes managed to drop tracks from Taylor Swift, Venga Boys, Daddy Yankee, and Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You during her performance that ruffled feathers, but rather her tweets prior to the set explaining that she would be, “pissing off all DJs by playing t swift at boiler room, tune in!”

With Boiler Room being one of the most prestigious stages in the whole EDM movement, and considering all this went down in the house Richie Hawtin lives in, fans and peers are not impressed. Now, despite the fact that this is a textbook troll, Grimes has claimed she wasn’t trolling anyone.

“I don’t think there is a dj rule book,” she has commented via twitter adding, “I will leave it at this: nothing about anything I do is ironic.”

Grimes has become known for her love affair with cheesy pop music, mainly Mariah, so it’s likely that her taste just went down poorly. It’s also likely she has answered a troll with yet another troll.

Trollception…
