Surf rock faves Hockey Dad have some big news!
Not only are they about to share a brand new single tomorrow (it’s called ‘Good Eye’ and you can pre-save it right here), they’ve also lined up a second drive-in gig in their hometown of Wollongong after the first one triggered such a big reaction, quickly selling out.
“We’re overwhelmed with the support and excitement around these drive in shows,” the band said in a statement. “Super excited to not only play live again but to get two gigs back to back! Thank you to everybody who has already snagged their spot in the passenger seat!’”
The band will take to the gong’s Bulli Showground for their ‘Alive At The Drive-In I & II’ concerts on Friday 31st July and Saturday 1st August, complete with an old school horror movie theme (zombie make-up encouraged).
And Hockey Dad won’t be the only ones taking to the stage either, they’ll be supported by fellow ‘gong icons, The Pinheads.
Tickets are limited, with a capacity of only 400 cars, so you’ll have to stick your foot on the accelerator (figuratively speaking) once they go on sale tomorrow.
The shows will coincide with the release of Hockey Dad’s third album, Brain Candy, which is also out on Friday, 31 July.
