House Of Protection Unleash New Single ‘Afterlife’, Announce 2nd EP

Fresh off their debut Australian tour where they fired up crowds across the East Coast opening for Bad Omens, rap-rock super duo House of Protection have announced a brand new EP coming our way.

Their sophomore extended player, dubbed Outrun You All, will arrive on Friday, 23rd May and our first taste of it comes in the form of new single ‘Afterlife’, a slow-burning stomper that fuses flavours of rap-rock, heavy electronica and dreamy grunge (listen below).

“‘Afterlife’ was the second song we demoed, right after ‘It’s Supposed to Hurt’,” members Stephen Harrison and Aric Improta, formerly two thirds of Fever 333, explain in a joint press statement.

“It started with just the guitar stab and the whip sound. We liked it a lot, but ultimately, we pushed to avoid heavy half-time on GALORE. We intentionally wanted to keep that whole first EP pretty fast. After our debut shows, we realized how much we missed the feeling live, so we revisited it and refined the ideas with Jordan and Nick. Now it’s one of our favorites.”

The band’s new EP was once again produced by legendary ex-Bring Me The Horizon keyboardist, their good mate Jordan Fish.
