Post-hardcore’s House Vs Hurricane have taken things from 0-100 in a matter of months. The band has been drip feeding us tracks and news from their now-released second studio full-length Crooked Teeth, as well as announcing a national tour, and one other minor thing…what was it…oh yeah, they’re playing Big Day Out 2013.
Crooked Teeth is the first release the band has offered without their original singer and keyboardist. The band have come a long way since their synth-riddled EP released in 2008 that literally blew doors all over the country and saw the band become a huge success, both locally, and on the international stage.
The album has seen the band’s sound coined as Amity Affliction/Every Time I Die hybrid, though I’d have to add Four Letter Lie to that mix as well. The original single Blood Knuckles got a lot of people interested in seeing which direction they were headed, and judging by some of the reviews going around, the album has been greeted with thunderous applause.
The Melbourne-based outfit have also really given back to their fans, who have remained consistently faithful over the years, by peppering their tour with regional dates in an attempt to go to the kids, instead of hoping the kids come to them.
Crooked Teeth is out today! Though be careful before you sink your fangs into it, this release could bite back. Check out the dates below.
