HTRK announce new album

London by way of Melbourne outfit HTRK have just announced details of a new album, the follow up to 2009’s Marry Me Tonight. One of porn star Sasha Grey‘s favourite bands (seriously, she introduced me to them when I interviewed her a year or so ago) this last year has seen the band endure blow after blow with producer and mentor Roland S. Howard dieing last year and bassist and founding member Sean Stewart committing suicide in March, the announcement of the album being the first piece of good news to come out of their camp for a while.

The album titled WORK (work, work) is said to deal with themes of “submission, dysphoria, sentimentality, tech-noir and corporate life,” set for release next year on Blast First Petite. The album has 11 tracks with all basslines performed by Stewart before his death.

The band have put up a new website with videos and images around the new album which you can visit here, although at the time of writing this story the site was down.
