Jack White’s rock supergroup The Raconteurs — also known as The Saboteurs in Australia — have announced they will make their Aussie debut at Byron Bay Bluesfest in 2019.
After dropping two new songs yesterday following a lengthy break, the band have now confirmed they will perform at Bluesfest on Easter Monday, 22nd April. It’s unclear if any more shows will be announced.
The group — that’s Jack White (The White Stripes), Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence (The Greenhornes, Blanche and The Dead Weather) and Patrick Keeler (The Greenhornes) — released their latest studio album Consolers of the Lonely in 2008, and are working on a new release due in 2019.
The Raconteurs/Saboteurs join a Bluesfest lineup which already included the likes of Iggy Pop, Norah Jones, Jack Johnson and Paul Kelly.
