Joan Jett To Play With Nirvana At Rock Hall Of Fame Ceremony?

The Foo Fighters Facebook page might have dropped some cryptic clues as to the remaining Nirvana band members’ secrecy-shrouded performance at the upcoming Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony.

The Foo’s posted a new photo, featuring a full instrumental set up, one of which bears a striking resemblance to Joan Jett‘s guitar. While the photo has no caption, shrewd fans have surmised the other instruments appear to be Krist Novoselic’s bass, Pat Smear’s Strat and Dave Grohl‘s drums.

As there was no caption posted with the photo, fans are left to guess what it is trying to say. But, with Grohl and Novoselic currently in New York for the induction ceremony and Foo Fighters and Nirvana cohort Pat Smear just a phone call away, many are speculating that the trio could be joined by Jett at the Rock Hall for a special performance.

Grohl and his band, in fact, have a history of working with Joan Jett in the past. The Foo Fighters appeared with the singer on The Late Show With David Letterman in 2011, while Grohl collaborated with Jett on her track Any Weather from her 2013 record, her first album in seven years.

This Thursday will see the latest group of musical ‘chosen ones’ inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as the class of 2014. Other inductees include KISS, Peter Gabriel, Cat Stevens, Linda Ronstadt and The E Street Band.
