Kee’ahn and Soju Gang Are Performing at the NGV for NAIDOC Week This Saturday

Singer-songwriter Kee’ahn and DJ Soju Gang will perform at the National Gallery of Victoria this Saturday (9th July) as part of the gallery’s NAIDOC Week celebrations.

Taking place at the NGV’s Ian Potter Centre, Kee’ahn will perform from 12pm in the Indigenous Art from the NGV Collection exhibition. Kee’ahn, a Kuku Yalanji, Jirrbal, and Zenadth musician, was the recipient of the Archie Roach Award at the 2020 National Indigenous Music Awards courtesy of her original soul and R&B-inspired songs.

Kicking off at the same time in the foyer and running until 3pm will be Soju Gang’s DJ set. The Gunai/Kurnai, Yorta Yorta and Wiradjuri DJ will be spinning her blend of R&B and 80s and 90s hip hop.

The day will begin with a Welcome to Country on the Ground Floor, and continue with a live dance performance by First Nations female collective, Wala Connections. There’ll also be a First Nations Community Tour exploring the gallery’s Indigenous art collection. Find out more information about the NGV’s NAIDOC Week celebration here.
