King Street Carnival Drops New Dates & Expanded Lineup For March 2022

Embodying the ancient Chumbawamban mantra of “I get knocked down but I get up again”, the twice-postponed King Street Carnival (FKA King Street Crawl) is back with rescheduled dates and a slew of new lineup additions.

The Music & Booze Co’s three-day musical rager will now take over Sydney’s inner west in Gadigal Country from Friday, March 11th to Sunday, March 13th.

And while Chumbawamba themselves will sadly not be performing, a stack of new homegrown heroes are joining the party, including Ngaiire, Cosmic Psychos, King Stingray, Tropical Fuck Storm, Young Franco, Barkaa & more.

Sadly, some acts originally announced for the fest are unable to participate in the new dates, including Amyl & The Sniffers and Alex The Astronaut, but the vast majority are still involved. We’re talking Yothu YindiYou Am IConfidence ManMiddle Kids, Stella Donnelly and more.

“Rescheduling (twice) has been an absolute bastard,” promoters said in a statement, “but we feel like we’ve found some ace replacements that’ll help make this festival just as equally special as before”.

Let’s hope 3rd time’s the charm!
