Laneway Festival Adds Djo To 2025 Line-Up, Changes Sydney Venue

Laneway Festival have shared two updates to their recently-announced 2025 festivities. The first update was revealing an additional artist on the bill, which was speculated upon when the artwork announcing the line-up featured a circle filled with cartoon aliens covering up a name. That name has now been revealed to be Djo, the musical project of Stranger Things actor Joe Keery.

Keery, who will be visiting Australia for the first time in his career, launched the Djo project in 2019. His second album, Decide, was released in 2022. It featured the track ‘End Of Beginning’, which went viral on TikTok earlier in 2024 and entered the charts globally nearly two years after it was originally released. It has since been certified Platinum in both his native US and here in Australia, peaking on the singles charts at number 11 and number three respectively.

In addition to bringing Djo onto the Laneway line-up, the festival has also announced that its Sydney locale will once again move. The festival moved from its longtime home of the Sydney College for the Arts in Rozelle to The Domain in 2020, before moving once again to the Sydney Showgrounds in Olympic Park for its 2023 and 2024 iterations.

Now, the festival has relocated to Centennial Park in Sydney’s east – which is also the home for music festivals such as Listen Out and Knotfest. “It’s been a dream venue of ours for a while now, so we can’t wait to bring the show there,” said organisers in a statement. The updated venue list and line-up, as well as ticketing information, can be found below.
