Lil’ Bow Wow is definitely not going to be singing ‘Bow-wow-wow, yippie-yo, yippie-yay’ for a while – his wallet is going to be $80,000 lighter for doing a bit of dodgy footage stealing.
The rapper, who has apparently dropped the Lil’ from his name these days, is being forced to cough up the cash to a French porn star who claims Bow Wow took footage of her pole dancing and splashed it all over one of his clips without permission.
TMZ reports that Celine Tran, who goes by the stage name ‘Katsuni’, lodged a lawsuit back in July claiming Bow Wow took the footage, which originally appeared in a clip by French band Electronic Conspiracy – Conspiracy Strip Club, and then whacked it into his video for Drank In My Cup.
Bow Wow didn’t respond to the lawsuit, so a Federal Judge has ordered him to pay up $79,346.07 in damages + attorneys’ fees. He’s also been forced to pull all the footage from his video and any other avenue he’s used it in ASAP.
