Listen: Gypsy & The Cat New Single ‘Bloom’

Gypsy & The Cat have just released their second single Bloom from upcoming record The Late Blue, which will be out from October 19. Whereas lead single Sorry has more of an electro-fused feel, Bloom trades in the beeps and boops for a more casual, rocking, summer’s afternoon vibe that like Sorry is instantly catchy.

Based on the first two tracks lifted off The Late Blue, it sounds as though Xavier Bacash & Lionel Towers will have little trouble following up their very successful debut, 2010’s Gilgamesh. For those keen to experience the new tunes live, the Melbourne duo will be hitting the road for a five-stop national tour, kicking off at the end of the month.

The Late Blue was recorded and produced by Gypsy & The Cat and will be released via the band’s independent label Alsatian Music. Dave Fridman – who has names such as MGMT and the Flaming Lips attached to his resume – helped the boys out with mixing.
