Listen To ‘And So It Went’ The New Collab From The Pretty Reckless and Tom Morello

The Pretty Reckless have released ‘And So It Went’ a killer collab with Rage Against The Machine guitarist and alt-rock icon Tom Morello.

The third track to be released from The Pretty Reckless upcoming third full-length ‘Death By Rock And Roll’ out February 12th, ‘And So It Went’ sees vocalist Taylor Momsen let go on some raspy, full-throated wails over a filthy rock riff. Morello lets rip with a solo full of his usual tasty tricks before the song turns evolves into a stomping mid-tempo sing-a-long, complete with an angry mob choir.

“The world has been in such a state of civil unrest,” explains singer Taylor Momsen. ‘And So It Went’ basically comes from that vision. As a songwriter, I feel like I’m not here to preach. I use music to observe and communicate what I see around me. This song felt like the perfect storm for Tom Morello to join in and rip the sound waves apart with his guitar. It was more than a pleasure having him add his unique and defining sound to the song.”

It probably helps that Morello also adds a bit of protest rock credibility to the tune, with his presence considered a stamp of approval for what Momsen and co. are laying down here.
