Listen To Kacey Musgraves Cover Elvis’ ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’

Kacey Musgraves is one of many artists to contribute to the soundtrack for Baz Luhrmann’s new Elvis Presley biopic Elvis. The country-pop star delivers a sparse, slow-burning piano rendition of ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’ that brings the song’s emotive pull to the forefront. It arrives alongside a video comprised of footage from the new film – see that below.

Musgraves’ version of ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’ is the third song we’ve heard so far from the film’s soundtrack. Back in April, Doja Cat shared her track, the ‘Hound Dog’-interpolating ‘Vegas’. Earlier this month, Eminem and CeeLo Green shared their collaborative cut, ‘The King and I’.

Others set to feature on the soundtrack include Presley himself along with Swae Lee, Diplo, Pnau, Måneskin, Stevie Nicks, Denzel Curry, Jack White, Chris Isaak, Jazmine Sullivan and more. That’s set to arrive in full tomorrow (24th June) to coincide with the film’s global release. Luhrmann’s first film since 2013’s The Great Gatsby, it stars Austin Butler in the titular role along with Tom Hanks as Elvis’ manager, Colonel Tom Parker, Olivia DeJonge as Priscilla Presley and more.
