Melbourne-based artist Willing has marked his return today, with a bouncing and sensual new track ‘Venus In Virgo’.
With what Willing describes as a “track for all those unlucky-in-love astrology queens who demand to know your co-star handle every time they scab a dart,” ‘Venus In Virgo’ is both fiery and funky.
His voice jolts from Freddie Mercury rawness to Charli XCX distortion in seconds, while darting everywhere in between, but never once sounding inauthentic or forced.
‘Venus In Virgo’ is the fourth single we’ve heard from Willing in 2020 thus far, following ‘Alibi’, ‘Campground’ and ‘Soft Touch’.
The new single is also set to make up a ten-track body of work titled Pure Romance and Utter Devastation. It’ll be the first body of work Willing has released since 2018 EP, Small Cruelties.
