Welch Blue-eyed soul legend Tom Jones has recently collaborated with Jack White and released a cover of Howlin’ Wolf’s Evil, which you can listen to below. Jones has appeared as a part of Third Man Records’ infamous Blue Series, which previously had Sydney’s Lanie Lane with her Ain’t Hungry 7″.
The song will be released on March 5th, along with a new rendition of Jezebel from his 2002 album. Both tracks have White’s Raconteurs bandmates Patrick Keeler and Jack Lawrence, as well as My Morning Jacket’s Carl Broemel.
White said of the 71-year-old pop icon, “He impressed the shit out of everybody.”
