Listen: Unreleased Smashing Pumpkins Song ‘Have Faithe, Be Merrie’

Over the current holiday period, The Record Club unearthed a previously unreleased Christmas ode titled Have Faithe, Be Merrie. The song can be put into the band’s ‘quieter’ category of tunes, with Billy Corgan just singing without much backup. You can hear the song below.

A message was also released talking about the band’s plans for 2012, saying: “we’ve seen songs from Pisces Iscariot, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, Adore, pre Gish demos and ‘the Rubano Tapes’ being worked on in the studio.”, which should follow up on last year’s reissue’s of Gish and Siamese Dream. Also, another hint at touring plans: “there’s been some talk of a very special tour for next year.” Hopefully this will include Australia.

Smashing Pumpkins new album, Oceania, should be released sometime early this year as well.
