Over the weekend, Lizzo was the musical guest on a very festive episode of Saturday Night Live, which saw Eddie Murphy hosting the show for the first time in 35 years.
Backed by an all-female band, Lizzo brought a more rock-oriented rendition of her 2017 sleeper hit ‘Truth Hurts’ to the SNL stage, before returning later on to perform ‘Good As Hell’. Before beginning the song, she told the crowd “Happy holidays, y’all. Be kind to one another, but most importantly, be good to yourself.”
Her performances on SNL cap off an absolutely stellar year for Lizzo, who released breakout album Cuz I Love You and scored eight Grammy nominations this year. She’s headed to Australia next month for appearances at FOMO Festival and a pair of (extremely sold out) headline shows.
