Mark Hoppus Gives Update On Blink-182’s Australian Tour Prospects

Last time we checked in with Blink-182 re: their future Australian tour prospects, they were looking into the possibility of travelling here by boat.

If you need a bit of a refresher, Travis Barker has a well-documented fear of flying (and for damn good reason), so the band were exploring alternate means of transportation to make the trip from LA to AU.

Now, they’ve given us a bit of an update on where they’re at with that line of inquiry, and sadly it’s not good news.

“We looked into it. It takes a month to get here on a boat,” bassist Mark Hoppus spilled to ya girl while I was doing backstagey things for Triple M Hard N Heavy at Good Things Festival, where Mark was performing alongside Alex Gaskarth in their pop sideproject, Simple Creatures.

“So, I doubt that’s going to happen any time soon. But hopefully we can get over here sometime in the future.”

We’ll keep praying to the pop-punk gods then.

Meanwhile, it was better news for All Time Low, with Gaskarth seeming hopeful of a 2020 Australian tour.

You can watch the chat with both dudes below.
