Melbourne’s Brunswick Music Festival Unveils Eclectic 2017 Lineup

Brunswick Music Festival, Australia’s longest running inner-city music festival, is back for its 29th year with yet another eclectic lineup.

Festival organisers announced the event’s 2017 program today, and it’s packing a diverse selection of acts from Australia and abroad, all curated by the festival’s new Music Programmer (and local muso) Chelsea Wilson.

The likes of previously announced acts Aziza Brahim and the Grammy-nominated The Hot 8 Brass Band have been joined by Japanese outfit Oki Ainu Dub Band (pictured), Polish folk act Warsaw Village Band and Canada’s Les Poules à Colin — and that’s just the tip of the lineup iceberg.

All-in-all, the event’s 2017 roster features everything from gospel to blues, reggae, hip hop, rock, jazz and more, and you can catch the full list of musical acts below.

Brunswick Music Festival 2017 will take place over the space of a week this March, at a variety of Brunswick venues. There will be some free shows and all-ages events on offer, as well as the festival’s traditional opening event, the Sydney Road Street Party, which is expected to attract around 60,000 people on Sunday, 5th March.

Catch the music lineup and festival dates below, and the full program over at the Brunswick Music Festival website.
